Vibratory bowl feeding

Vibratory cap feeders for caps and closures.

A bowl-feeder-led route for caps that need controlled separation, sorting and orientation before the capping machine.

Need the feeder to match your cap and capper?

Send cap samples, photos, target output and the downstream capping machine details. The quickest shortlist starts with real parts, not a generic speed figure.

Use vibration and tooling to turn loose caps into a controlled feed.

Vibratory cap feeders are used where loose closures need to be separated and presented in a repeatable orientation. The tooling inside the bowl is designed around the cap, not around a standard catalogue shape.

The bowl track can reject incorrect orientations, control the cap queue and deliver caps into a chute or fixed handover point. This can be useful for screw caps, flip-top caps and selected specialist closures.

The correct bowl diameter, track profile, lining, noise control and discharge height depend on samples and the line layout.

Sample-led toolingThe track, reject features and outlet are designed around the real cap.
Controlled orientationCaps are presented correctly before entering the chute or pick point.
Changeover planningMultiple cap sizes may need adjustment, change parts or dedicated tooling.

Key checks before specifying the feeder.

CheckWhy it affects the designWhat to send
Cap stabilitySome caps roll, bounce or nest in bulk.Send a bag of production caps, not only drawings.
Orientation requirementThe bowl must know what “correct” means for the capper.Send exit orientation photos or a marked sample.
ThroughputA bowl must exceed the capper demand without excessive vibration.Send realistic caps-per-minute target and efficiency expectation.
FAQs

Questions about vibratory cap feeders.

Is a vibratory cap feeder the same as a bowl feeder?

In many cases yes. The term usually refers to a vibratory bowl feeder tooled to feed caps or closures.

Can one vibratory cap feeder run several cap sizes?

Sometimes, but this depends on the size range, shape difference and orientation requirements.

Do vibratory feeders mark caps?

The risk depends on the cap finish, bowl lining, vibration level and tooling. Samples should be checked for cosmetic sensitivity.
