Why can liners change cap feeding behaviour?
A liner can change the cap’s mass distribution, internal depth, open-face friction and the surface presented to a track or reject feature. A loose or poorly retained liner may also move during repeated contact.
Use the finished production cap for trials and define whether the liner must remain seated, unmarked and undisturbed after circulation and discharge. Do not assume an unlined moulding represents the commercial closure.

A tamper band extends the effective skirt and may create a flexible or projecting feature that interacts with rails, gates and chute clearances. It can also provide an orientation cue, but only if its geometry is consistent and contact does not compromise the band.
Measure the complete closure, include normal mould variation and inspect bands after rejects and recirculation. Track settings should be confirmed against finished caps rather than nominal neck or cap diameter.

They may be suitable for automatic feeding, but mark-free performance cannot be assumed. Contact between caps, tooling and recirculation points must be assessed with the actual finish, and the buyer should define what visible condition is acceptable.
Trials should include realistic bowl or hopper loading, normal stops and enough circulation to expose repeat contact. Gentle-handling measures are selected from the observed route and finish, not from a generic promise.

Send finished caps from normal production, examples from relevant batches or colours, every liner or insert option, complete tamper features and known problem samples. Include the matching bottle and capper information where placement or neck engagement affects the handover.
Clearly label acceptable variation and defective examples. A drawing and photographs help record features, but physical samples are still needed to observe bulk contact, friction, orientation and recovery.
