A crown cap feeder stores, separates, orientates and transfers metal crown closures so the capper receives each cap in the correct presentation. The useful specification is built around real cap samples, liner condition, open-side orientation, capper inlet geometry and the transfer point, not only the nominal crown diameter.

Because crown caps can be thin, lined and scuff-sensitive, the feed route should be checked for marking, doubled caps, incorrect face orientation and capper handover stability before a production layout is confirmed.

Is a crown cap feeder the same as a screw-cap feeder?

No. A crown cap feeder can use similar principles of bulk storage, separation and orientation, but the closure geometry and capper handover are different. The open skirt, liner and metal shell make the accepted outlet condition and handling contact points especially important.

Why are crown cap samples needed?

Crown cap samples show whether the closure stacks, marks, separates and orientates reliably. They also allow Lancing to check whether the liner, decoration or shell edge creates a handling limit that is not visible from dimensions alone.
