Manual cap placement, assisted presentation and fully automatic feeding can all be valid. The right level depends on the production pattern, closure behaviour, operator task, required repeatability and how the cap is applied. Automating a difficult cap without first understanding orientation, bottle stability and handover can transfer the problem rather than solve it.

Short runs with many closures may favour flexibility. Longer, repeatable runs may justify bulk storage, automatic sorting and capper demand control. Between those points, a semi-automatic presenter can reduce manual searching and orientating while retaining operator control of placement or cycle start.
